Modern Minimalist Chair

Project Details

This project began with a concept from Alex Morgan that aimed to challenge traditional furniture design by creating a chair that was both visually striking and environmentally responsible. Morgan Fabrication brought their expertise in metal fabrication to refine the design for manufacturability while maintaining the original vision. The chair frame is constructed from recycled aluminum, carefully shaped and welded to create a seamless appearance. The seat and backrest use a tensioned recycled polyester mesh that provides comfort without the need for traditional padding, further reducing the environmental impact. The manufacturing process was optimized to minimize waste, with all metal scraps being collected for future recycling. The chair can also be easily disassembled at the end of its life cycle, allowing for complete recycling of all components.
